Farmingdale stops Sage win streak
Sage's women's basketball team fell to the Rams on Saturday, 95-55 in conference play.
Farmingdale, NY---
The Sage Colleges women's basketball team traveled to
Farmingdale State College on Saturday afternoon for a Skyline
Conference contest. The Rams remained perfect on the season
as they snapped the Gators' three-game win streak en route to the
95-55 win. Farmingdale stands at 17-0 overall and 12-0 in the
league, while Sage drops to 7-9 overall and 5-6 in the league.
Farmingdale led 39-26 at the break and by contest's end got a game-high 30 points from senior guard Kimberly Blakney (Brooklyn, NY) and 11 points from senior Kamaya Miller (Brooklyn, NY) added 11 points.
Leading the way for the Gators was sophomore forward Kelsey Frament (Waterford, NY/Catholic Central) with 13 points which ties her season-high and is just one point shy of her personal best. Senior guard Carlin DeMarinis (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) added 10 points for Sage, while senior forward Amber Muir (Schenectady, NY/Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons) hauled down a team-high seven rebounds.
Sage returns to action on Wednesday, January 27 when they host Purchase College in a Skyline Conference game in the Neff Athletic Center in Troy at 6 p.m.
