Rams overwhelm Sage in Skyline Conference lacrosse action
Troy, NY--The Rams of Farmingdale State College tallied a 14-0 win over their host, the Gators of Sage College on Saturday afternoon at RPI's Renwyck Field. Farmingdale improves to 7-5 overall and 6-1 in the conference, while Sage falls to 0-8 overall and 0-7 in the league.
Farmingdale led 10-0 at the break and by game's end, sophomore Emily Williams (Centerport, NY/Harborfields) has five points on three goals and two assists giving her 32 goals, 14 assists and 46 points. FSC's senior Justine Rothar (Levittown, NY/Division Avenue) added six points on two goals and four assists, elevating her team-leading total points to 50 as she has 27 goals and 23 assists.
FSC's junior goalie Courtney Cook (Deer Park, NY/Deer Park) collected the win in goal as she blanked the Gators stopping five shots she faced.
Sage's senior goalie Brittany Schafer (Watertown, NY/South Jefferson Central) made seven saves, while sophomore Courtney Reed (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) had none with one goal allowed in her 15 plus minutes in net.
Sage returns to action on Tuesday, April 19 hosting Mount Saint Mary College in a 7:30 p.m. contest at RPI's Renwyck Field.
