Alicia Swavely

At Sage:

  • A transfer student from Herkimer County Community College, Alicia Swavely was a newcomer to Sage and a first-year member of the inaugural field hockey team in 2018.
  • She played three games in net and another in the field.
  • Alicia had her first career win Sept. 7 vs. Dean.
  • She had a 3.88 goals against average and played 194 minutes, 37 seconds in net with a total of 27 saves.

Academics at Sage:

  • She is majoring in health sciences with a path to physical therapy.

High School:

  • A graduate of Rome Free Academy, she earned letters in field hockey, softball and track and field.
  • A female athlete of the year honoree in high school, she was a team captain in softball and an All-Mohawk All-Star.
  • In field hockey, she was as five year varsity starter and a team captain that was also tapped for first team all-league acclaim.
  • As a performer at HCCC, she was a two-time league champion and a national championship participant in softball.

Personal:

  • She is the daughter of Theodore and Carissa Swavely.
  • Her father was a Division I performer at Canisius in football and track and field. Her sister was a team captain in both field hockey and track and field at SUNY-Brockport. Her brother is a member of the football and track and field teams at the University of Rochester as well currently.
