Bio

Fluty is in his third season as a member of the Russell Sage College women's basketball coaching staff in 2025-2026. He served as a volunteer assistant in 2023-2024, before being elevated to a paid assistant for the 2024-2025 campaign.

“Coach Fluty brings a positive energy, commitment, focus and overall presence in our program that I am looking forward to having help continue to grow and enhance our program and college” said Head Coach Michael Branche.

Fluty has had experience at the college level for 7 years which included two seasons as a Student Assistant Coach at SUNY Cortland under Head Coach Jeannette Mosher where he worked on skill development with guards and post players, different practice responsibilities and kept stats during games.

He also spent four seasons as the Assistant Coach at Mount Saint Mary College where in the four years MSMC went 63-16 (lost 2020 season due to Covid), won the Skyline Conference Championship in 2021-2022 season which also included an upset win over Johns Hopkins in the NCAA Tournament First Round. His responsibilities included but were not limited to player development, recruiting, film breakdown and involvement with practice and game planning.

Eric has also been heavily involved with the youth basketball in the Capital Region, having been coaching AAU basketball for 11 years with boys and girls from 4th grade through 12th. Fluty started his own AAU program “Athenas” and operated from 2019-2023, and is now the Co-Director of Vibez Girls AAU and oversees the High School program.

“I am very grateful and appreciate Coach Branche for believing in me to help him and grow his vision for this program. It has always been a goal of mine to do something special with a program here at home, I cannot wait to get started!” said Fluty
