Big Innings Propel Thomas to Doubleheader Sweep of Gators

DAVENPORT, Fla. – Thomas College broke out the bats to take both ends of Sunday's doubleheader vs. Russell Sage College. The Terriers totaled 21 runs and 24 hits to pick up 11-3 and 10-2 victories.
Thomas (2-0) used the big inning in both of the wins. The Terriers put across eight runs in the third inning of the opener and all ten of their second-game markers in the first inning.
RSC sophomore outfielder Brendan Espinal (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored in the opener, while senior outfielder James Lubanski (Port Washington, NY/Paul D. Schreiber), the reigning Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week, finished 2-for-6 with a run scored across the twin-bill.
The Gators (0-5), off tomorrow, play next on Tuesday vs. Penn State - Abington. First pitch is set for 4:15pm.
Notes: A pair from RSC earned Empire 8 Conference weekly honors on Feb. 27…Senior outfielder James Lubanski (Port Washington, NY/Paul D.
