Newburgh, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's basketball team traveled to Mt. St. Mary College for a Skyline Conference contest at the Kaplan Center. The host Knights tallied an 80-54 win to improve to 10-1 in the league and 14-4 overall. The Gators drop to 10-8 overall and 6-5 in the league.
Sage senior forward Mason Horne's (Albany, NY/La Salle Institute) finished with 12 points and four rebounds, while graduate performer, Jeff Stopera (Scotia, NY/Scotia Glenville) added nine points with five rebounds and four assists.
Junior Kai Deans (Miami, FL/Monsignor Pace) added a team-best six rebounds in the action, while being held to just four points with three blocked shots.
MSMC's Chris Pisciotta added a double-double with his 19 points and 12 rebounds, while making 7-9 from the floor in the action. He was joined in double-digits by Joe Stabach as he had 18 points in the game.
The Gators will be back in action on February 1 travelling to Yeshiva University for an 8:30 p.m. Skyline Conference match-up.
