Bio
A graduate of Shaker High School, Shelby Sarraino was a talented performer for the soccer team, where she helped the team to the sectionals. She was also part of Shaker’s semifinalist team of the Section 2 Tournament. She also participated in lacrosse at Shaker.
As a rookie in 2013 at Sage, she started 6 of 11 games and tallied 4 goals, the highest among last year’s rookies. She finished the season ranked No. 7 in the league with her 3.55 shots per game average, while also ranking No. 8 with her 2 game-winning goals.
Last season, Sarraino played 19 games, connecting for six points on two goals and two assists. She has now tallied six career goals with two assists and has a pair of game-winning goals in her 33 contests played.
A physical education major at Sage, she is the daughter of Michael Sarraino and Kelly Hughes and acclaim as a Dean’s List student. An avid singer, she recently was a lead character in a musical and has performed at Proctor’s Theater.
