RSC Cross Country Prepares for Postseason at the Hamilton Tune-Up
HAMILTON, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Cross Country traveled west on Saturday to take part in the Hamilton Tune-up.
Freshman Sydney Elmendorf (Walton, NY/Franklin Central) topped all Gators finishers in the Women's 4k, crossing the finish line in 19:28.5, while freshman Aniya-Jade Bailey (Troy, NY/Tamarac) finished in 20:37.5.
On the men's side, the Gators placed fifth overall, led by freshman Christopher Whalen (Arlington, VT/Arlington Memorial) who completed the race in 17:00.2.
The Gators begin postseason play next Saturday as they compete at the Empire 8 Conference Championships, hosted by St. John Fisher.
Gator Bites with Papa John's: RSC freshman Christopher Whalen (Arlington, VT/Arlington Memorial) was chosen the Empire 8 Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 7…The rookie won the ACPHS Orchard Opener on Saturday, September 6.
