ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College began a stretch of three-straight home contests with this afternoon's 22-4 loss to SUNY Geneseo.
Senior midfielder Tristyn Valenze (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) scored three of the RSC goals, only taking three shots to accomplish the hat trick.
Sophomore defender Alexis Crossman (Corinth, NY/Corinth) added a pair of assists, five caused turnovers, four draw controls, and three groundballs.
The visiting Knights (5-5/3-0 E8), now winners of four in-a-row, led 10-1 after the opening period and 16-2 at the break.
Attacker Maddie Brown, a graduate student, topped SUNY Geneseo with four goals and eight assists.
Looking ahead, RSC (1-7/0-3 E8) hosts Hartwick on Wednesday at 4:00 PM. The Athletic Department suggests fans wear white as part of the NCAA Division III Week celebration.
Gator Bites with Papa John's: RSC equaled a program-record for wins in a season with seven in 2024…Nine Gators return from last year's squad…Crossman, senior midfielder Maddison Walter (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls), and senior defender Angelina Schaefer (Latham, NY/Shaker) were voted co-captains of this year's team.
