Teagan Waddingham

Bio

A transfer from Hartwick College, Teagan Waddingham took over as the Gators’ keeper last season and played every minute in goal in 2012. She finished the season with a 5-10-1 record and helped the team return to the Skyline Conference tournament last fall, while producing a .296 GAA with five shutout wins. She had a .686 saves percentage as well for the Gators.

A two-sport athlete at Sage, she played in 33 games with 21 starts in the outfield for the Gators, while helping Sage’s softball team to the 2013 ECAC Metro Softball Runner-up trophy.

She arrived at Sage from Hartwick, where she played 9 games with 4 starts for the Hawks in goal. She added a 2.38 GAA and a .759 saves percentage in 265 minutes of service.

In high school, she was a three-sport athlete at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk and was the soccer team MVP. She also earned numerous post-season awards and led her soccer team to the Colonial Council Championship and a state semifinalist finish in 2008.  She was also named the recipient of Senior Class Coaches’ Award in 2011 after also earning defensive player of the year honors as well as a senior. She is also a National Honor Society student.

At Sage, she is a physical education major. She is the daughter of John and Karen Waddingham. She has continued her tradition of enjoying a chocolate bar before every game over the last four years and it has certainly paid off!
