Gators fall on the road to MSU
Upper Montclair, NJ ----The Red Hawks of Montclair State University hosted Sage in Skyline Conference women's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon. MSU posted the 19-1 to improve to 8-3 overall and 6-0 in the Skyline Conference. The Gators drop to 0-5 overall and in the conference.
MSU's Maggie Fallon racked up four goals and an assist to pace the Red Hawks as they held a 13-0 lead at the break. Kayla Henderson added five points on four goals and an assist, while nine different players figured into the scoring race for MSU.
Sage's junior Ginelle Butler (Malta, NY/Ballston Spa) put the Gators on the scoreboard with her team-leading ninth goal of the season. Butler continues to add to her resume as the Gators' all-time career scorer with 25 and points (29).
MSU's Tiffani Henderson made five saves in the contest in earning the win, while Sage's junior goalie Courtney Reed (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) made four saves on the contest. Reed continues to add to her career record as she now has 166 saves in her time in goal for the Gators.
