Arp Earns Medalist Honors at Oswego State Spring Invitational
Russell Sage College Men's Golf junior Ryan Arp (Greenville, NY/Greenville CAD) finished first overall in Saturday and Sunday's Oswego State Spring Invitational.
OSWEGO, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Men's Golf junior Ryan Arp (Greenville, NY/Greenville CAD) finished first overall in Saturday and Sunday's Oswego State Spring Invitational.
Arp began the weekend carding a +3 on Saturday, and came back on Sunday shooting an even par 70 to secure medalist honors.
The Gators placed second overall as a team with a combined score of +47 across the two-day event.
Freshman Jackson Vatter (Selkirk, NY/Bethlehem Central) placed 21st, while freshman Liam Gray (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central) and Nicholas Park (Fort Lee, NJ/Fort Lee) placed 22nd and 24th, respectively.
"I was able to battle through tough conditions on Saturday to stay in it," shared Arp. "Sunday afternoon I just kept it simple, and was able to pull away with a three-under 33 on the back nine."
The Gators are back in action on Monday, wrapping up their spring campaign at Nazareth.
