RSC Golf Places Second at Nazareth Spring Invitational
Russell Sage College Men's Golf placed second overall in the Nazareth Spring Invitational on Monday afternoon.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Men's Golf placed second overall in the Nazareth Spring Invitational on Monday afternoon.
The Gators shot a combined score of +21 for the second place finish. Nicholas Park (Fort Lee, NJ/Fort Lee) led the way for RSC, finishing in a tie for first place with a score of +4. The freshman fell in a playoff, as Nazareth's Charlie Calcagni took medalist honors.
Freshman Hunter Charpentier, who competed as an individual, finished in a tie for fifth with a score of +6, while sophomore Luke Finlan (Albany, NY/LaSalle Inst.) also finished in the top ten with a ninth place finish at +7.
Freshman Henry Lewis (Bedford, MA/Bedford) shot eight over par to finish in tenth place.
Senior Grace Kinkaid (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) competed on the Women's side, finishing tied for fourth place with a score of +24.
Gator Bites with Papa John's: RSC finished second overall at the Empire 8 Conference Championships...The Gators had their best finish in program history…Sophomore Luke Finlan (Albany, NY/LaSalle Inst.) earned medalist honors at the Empire 8 Conference Fall Championships, carding a two-day score of +6...Freshman Jackson Vatter (Selkirk, NY/Bethlehem Central) led the charge in the Spring portion of the Empire 8 Conference Championships with a two-day score of +14…Junior Ryan Arp (Greenville, NY/Greenville CAD) earned Medalist honors at the Oswego State Spring Invitational with a two-day score of +3...Head Coach Kevin Cain earned E8 Coach of the Year honors for the first time.
