Gators Suffer First Setback of the Fall

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Men's Soccer suffered its first setback of the autumn with Friday's 2-0 non-conference home loss to Keene State.
The visiting Owls (2-0-0), yet to concede a goal thus far, applied great pressure on the Gator defense in the first half, outshooting the hosts 13-2 and earning five corner kicks.
Shortly before the break, junior midfielder Dorian Wilczynski put Keene State, which finished with a 17-7 advantage on shots, on the board.
Then in the 58th minute, junior forward Cristian Correa capitalized upon a quick playing Owl counterattack to add an insurance marker.
Down by two, the Gators (2-1-0) were able to gain some time in the attacking zone, putting five of their seven shots on the board across the final 32:47.
RSC continues its run of home contests to open the season on Wednesday against Paul Smith's College.
