Gators Host First Annual 'Fiesta y Futbol'
Russell Sage College Men's Soccer hosted the Cardinals of St. John Fisher on Saturday as a part of the first annual 'Fiesta y Futbol.'

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Men's Soccer hosted the Cardinals of St. John Fisher on Saturday as a part of the first annual 'Fiesta y Futbol.'
The game kicked off the festivities, which continued throughout the day with various different events celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
The Gators (6-3-2/1-2-2 E8) played the visiting Cardinals to a scoreless draw in the Saturday afternoon Empire 8 Conference action.
Freshman goalkeeper Mateja Milutin (Vojvodina, Novi Sad, Serbia/The Kiski School) (5-3-2) stopped all six SJFU shots on target.
Senior forward Joel Tshiamala (Banyoles, Girona, Spain/Sports EDU/Marietta) tallied a pair of shots on goal in the tie.
SJFU (1-7-2/1-2-2 E8), the defending E8 regular season and tournament champions, had multiple attackers take shots on goal.
The Gators continue conference play on Wednesday against Utica.
