ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Women's Lacrosse continued its run of home Empire 8 Conference contests on Friday afternoon versus SUNY Brockport.
The visiting Golden Eagles pitched a shutout for the opening 40:08 to secure a 15-3 victory.
Junior midfielder Gianna Geraci (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park) scored two of the RSC goals.
Junior midfielder Alexis Crossman (Corinth, NY/Corinth) netted the other Gator goal, while adding four draw controls, three caused turnovers and four groundballs.
SUNY Brockport (9-5/5-2 E8) had six players register at least two points this afternoon.
RSC (1-8/1-6 E8) wraps up a stretch of three home games in six days on Monday evening vs. Elmira.
Gator Bites with Papa John's: The spring marks the first with Head Coach Geri Seif leading the Russell Sage College Women's Lacrosse program…She served as an assistant coach with nearby Union College from 2022-2025…The Gators delivered Seif her first career win on April 11 at Keuka…RSC won the Saturday E8 matinee 15-6…Five Gators return from last year's squad…Crossman, junior defender Mackenna Huestis (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls), and sophomore midfielder Maia Hunter (Theresa, NY/Indian River) headline the returnees…In 2025, Crossman topped RSC with 37 points on 31 goals and six assists, and set the program single-season records with 50 caused turnovers, 3.57 per-game…The midfielder commenced the weekend leading the E8 with 4.13 groundballs per-game…She ranked second in the Conference with 2.63 caused turnovers per-game… Attacker Samantha Shafer (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady), a graduate student, opened the week tied for fourth in the E8 with 2.50 goals per-game…Geraci started the week leading the Gators with 17 goals across the first seven contests…The 2.43 goals per-game average put the midfielder fifth in the E8.
