RSC Women's Lacrosse Continues String of Road Games at Hartwick

The host Hawks soared out to a 10-2 halftime lead on their way to an 18-6 Empire 8 Conference victory.
Junior Gianna Geraci (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park) paced the Gators with three goals on six shots. The midfielder, among the Conference leaders in goals per-game, recorded four caused turnovers, three draw controls, and a groundball.
Attacker Samantha Shafer (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady), a graduate student, contributed two goals on six shots, two groundballs, and one draw control.
Junior Alexis Crossman (Corinth, NY/Corinth) topped all participants with seven groundballs and five caused turnovers. The midfielder, who holds the program record for caused turnovers in a season, added three groundballs and a goal.
Freshman attacker/midfielder Adelyn Esce topped Hartwick (4-7/2-2 E8) with seven points on four goals and three assists. The rookie tallied seven draw controls and two groundballs.
RSC (0-6/0-4 E8) wraps up the string of road games on Saturday at Keuka.
Gator Bites with Papa John's: The spring marks the first with Head Coach Geri Seif leading the Russell Sage College Women's Lacrosse program…She served as an assistant coach with nearby Union College from 2022-2025…Five Gators return from last year's squad…Crossman, junior defender Mackenna Huestis (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls), and sophomore midfielder Maia Hunter (Theresa, NY/Indian River) headline the returnees…In 2025, Crossman topped RSC with 37 points on 31 goals and six assists, and set the program single-season records with 50 caused turnovers, 3.57 per-game…Hunter commenced the week ranked third in the E8 with 2.20 groundballs per-game…Geraci entered the day leading the Gators with 12 goals across the first five contests…The 2.40 goals per-game average put the midfielder fifth in the E8.
