Knotted at three at the break, the Wildcats netted eight of the next ten goals, including out-scoring the Gators 6-1 in the third period, to secure the Empire 8 Conference victory.
RSC junior midfielder Gianna Geraci (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park) topped all participants with six points on five goals and an assist.
Junior midfielder Alexis Crossman (Corinth, NY/Corinth) and junior defender Mackenna Huestis (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls) also scored for the Gators, while sophomore midfielder Maia Hunter (Theresa, NY/Indian River) led all players with five draw controls.
Sophomore attacker Alyssa Hawkins paced SUNY Poly (3-11/2-6 E8) with three goals and three assists.
RSC (2-9/1-7 E8) wraps up its spring on Saturday at Nazareth.
Gator Bites with Papa John's: The spring marks the first with Head Coach Geri Seif leading the Russell Sage College Women's Lacrosse program…She served as an assistant coach with nearby Union College from 2022-2025…The Gators delivered Seif her first career win on April 11 at Keuka…RSC won the Saturday E8 matinee 15-6…Five Gators return from last year's squad…Crossman, Huestis, and Hunter headline the returnees…In 2025, Crossman topped RSC with 37 points on 31 goals and six assists, and set the program single-season records with 50 caused turnovers, 3.57 per-game…The midfielder holds the school career records for groundballs, and caused turnovers…She established program single-game records of 19 groundballs and 14 caused turnovers in the non-conference victory vs. Elmira on April 20…Crossman, who became the fourth Gator to reach 100 career draw controls earlier this spring, headed into the contest leading the E8 in caused turnovers per-game, groundballs, and groundballs per-game.
