ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Women’s Basketball finished a stretch of five-straight home Empire 8 Conference games by defeating Saint John Fisher 52-44 on Saturday.
The Gators (11-6/6-2 E8) outscored the visiting Cardinals 35-19 in the second half to pull away with the conference win.
Senior Layla Acosta (Haines City, FL/Haines City), who began the week third in the Conference in points per-game, contributed a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. The guard led all scorers and added a pair of steals to the statsheet.

SJFU had two scorers in double-figures, as Presleigh Brunner contributed 18 and Hannah Ferguson scored twelve.
