RSC Women's Cross Country Team takes fourth as Gators produce 3 all-conference runners
RSC's women's cross country team posted a fourth place finish at the 2021 Empire 8 Championships, a race the Gators served as the host for at Washington County Fairgrounds.
Greenwich, NY— Russell Sage College's women's and men's cross country teams served as the host institution for the 2021 Empire 8 Cross Country Championships on Saturday. The event was held at Washington County Fairgrounds.
The women's 6,000 meter race was won by St. John Fisher College as they combined for a team score of 30 points in the eight-team field.

The women's individual champion came from St. John Fisher College as junior Riley Corey posted a time of 22:04.4.
For the Gators, sophomore Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) was the top finisher on Saturday for the Gators as she was ninth with her time of 23:28.9. Sophomore Emma Cronin (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich Central) was next in 10th place in 23:35.0. Both earned Empire 8 Second Team All-Star status for their finishes.
Newcomer Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) finished in 20th place in 24:27.6 and was named to the Empire 8 Third Team All-Star squad.
Rookie Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham) was 32nd in 26:49.2, while junior Evelyn Gile (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) finished in 34th in 27:31.0.
Senior Kristin McAlonen (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) was 35th in 27:32.2, while sophomore Skylar Grybos (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) placed 41st in 28:16.8. Sophomore Heather Scutt (Ancramdale, NY/Taconic Hills) finished in 73rd place in 42:27.7.
The Gators will be back in action on November 13 competing at the 2021 Atlantic Regional Championships hosted by Connecticut College at Harkness Memorial Park.
