Sage men's cross country team in action at NCAA Regionals

Rochester, NY. – The 2012 NCAA Division III Atlantic Regionals were held on Saturday afternoon at Genesee Valley Park.
On the men's side, New York University was the team champion, while Geneseo's senior Alex Brimstein won the men's 8 k race with a time of 25:14.4. The Gator men took home 38th place out of 44 teams.
For the Sage men's team, rookie Juan Reyes-Alvarez (Latham, NY/Shaker) was the first Gator finisher in 129th with his time of 28:45.1. Sophomore Jesus Vaquez-Lopez (Latham, NY/Shaker) finished in 183rd place for the Gators in a time of 28:34.0.
Junior Bryan Kelly (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley Central) took home 216th in 31:52.8. Senior Cory Alvarado (Shokan, NY/Onteora) finished in 265th place in 31:52.8.
Sophomore Ricky Parker (Scotia, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake) was next in 292nd place in 37:24.4 and finished just ahead of junior Anthony Crawford (Bronx, NY/Frederick Douglass Academy) who placed 293rd in 38:54.2.
Next up for Sage is the 2012 Skyline Conference Championships on November 15 at Chadwick Lake Park, Newburgh, NY.
