Gator men tie for third at Skylines; Gator produce three Skyline All-Conference Performers!
Newburgh, NY--The 2012 Skyline Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships were finally held on Thursday after two previous postponements changed the race. The event was held at Chadwick Lake Park and both of Sage's team posted their best showings as the Gator men tied for third place.

Maritime's rookie Cameron Coneys won the men's individual crown with a time of 28:04.52 to won the men's 8 k race.
For the Sage men's team, rookie Juan Reyes-Alvarez (Latham, NY/Shaker) was the first Gator finisher in fifth place with his time of 28:27.2. He was named to the Skyline Conference All-Star First Team for his efforts. Sophomore Jesus Vaquez-Lopez (Latham, NY/Shaker) finished in 11th place for the Gators in a time of 30:23.72 and was named to the Skyline Conference All-Star Second Team.
Junior Bryan Kelly (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley Central) took home 13th in 30:34.05 and was also a second team Skyline Conference All-Star pick.
Senior Cory Alvarado (Shokan, NY/Onteora) finished in 29th place in 32:28.62. Sophomore Taylor McMillen (Wyantskill, NY/Averill Park) picked up 44th finish in a time of 35:21.76.
Sophomore Ricky Parker (Scotia, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake) was next in 53rd place in 37:57.27 and finished just ahead of junior Anthony Crawford (Bronx, NY/Frederick Douglass Academy) who placed 54th in 38:45.53. Sophomore Mohammed Marghani (Makkah, Sauda Arabia/Abdulrahman Fagled) also competed for the Gators and finished in 57th place in 43:58.68.
