Gators Shut Out Keuka to Take E8 Opener 2-0

Sophomore forward Skyler Van Wormer (Guilderland, NY/Guilderland/SUNY Oneonta) tallied both of the Gators goals, while sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Brand (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) registered two saves en route to her first collegiate shutout.
"I am so proud of the resilience and grit this team shows day in and day out," said Head Coach Carissa Warren. "When it pays off on nights like this, that is what it is all about. I'm very proud of the work by every single one of our players and looking forward to next week's games!"
RSC, which played a player down all but 86 seconds of the final 8:28, outshot Keuka (0-3/0-1 E8) 11-5, and took seven of the first nine corners of the contest.
Looking ahead, the Gators (2-1/1-0 E8) are scheduled to host RPI on Wednesday evening.
