After going down 2-0 late in the third quarter, the Gators answered just 30 seconds later to halve their deficit.
RSC out-shot the host Golden Eagles (6-4/3-0 E8) 4-2 in the final period as they pursued the equalizer.
Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Brand (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) (4-6) made 10 saves in defeat.
RSC (4-6/2-2 E8) is back in action on Wednesday at Hartwick.
