ELMIRA, N.Y. – Russell Sage College field hockey lost 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon as they traveled west to match up with the Soaring Eagles of Elmira.
The Gators were held scoreless for the majority of the game, until sophomore forward Skyler Van Wormer (Guilderland, NY/Guilderland/SUNY Oneonta) took a sophomore defender Kari Gage (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls) pass into the back of the cage to get RSC onto the board.

Elmira (3-8/2-5 E8) had two different attackers score goals in the conference victory.
Looking ahead, the Gators (4-9/2-5 E8) return to the turf on Saturday as they host SUNY Geneseo.
