Gators Come Back to Win Season Opener in Overtime
NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Sophomore Doan Sangare (New York, NY/Frederick Douglass Academy) scored with 1:47 left in overtime to give Russell Sage College Men's Lacrosse a 7-6 season-opening victory at Mount Saint Mary College.

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Sophomore Doan Sangare (New York, NY/Frederick Douglass Academy) scored with 1:47 left in overtime to give Russell Sage College Men's Lacrosse a 7-6 season-opening victory at Mount Saint Mary College.
The midfielder, one of three Gators with multiple goals in the non-conference win, helped the visitors erase a two-goal deficit across the final 11:29.
Sophomore midfielder Carson Pesce (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) topped all participants with four points on two goals and two assists, while senior attacker Mame Diba (New York, NY/Haldane) also netted two goals.
Senior defender Brady Dubay (Altamont, NY/CBA) was the other RSC goal-scorer, while sophomore goalkeeper Jordon Hankel (Cold Spring, NY/Haldane) (Win, 1-0) made nine saves.
MSMC (0-1) had three players register multiple points in the home setback.
RSC (1-0) continues its season on Tuesday vs. SUNY Morrisville
