RSC Men's Lacrosse Wraps Up Spring Against Visiting Nazareth

The Gators had three players register two points in their season finale, a 28-4 home Empire 8 Conference setback.
Senior attacker Mame Diba (New York, NY/Haldane), among the program's career scoring leaders, and freshman midfielder Dylan Baisley (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) paced RSC (3-9/1-8 E8) with two goals each.
Sophomore midfielder Carson Pesce (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) tallied a pair of assists, while sophomore goalkeeper Jordon Hankel (Cold Spring, NY/Haldane) (3-9), the Conference leader in saves per-game, stopped 24 Nazareth shots. The sophomore, who is the program career leader with 467 saves, averaged 18.75 saves per-game. He finished the spring ranked fourth in the Conference with a .542 save percentage.
Diba concluded the campaign seventh in program history with 103 career points. He is tied for sixth with 57 career goals and sits third among Gators with 46 career assists.
Nazareth (11-6/9-0 E8), now winners of 11 in-a-row, received at least one point from 17 different players this afternoon. The Golden Flyers, which secured the E8 regular season title with the road victory, outshot RSC 88-16 and won 25 of the 35 faceoffs.
Gator Bites with Papa John's: The spring marked the second with Erich Skelly at the helm of Russell Sage College Men's Lacrosse…Nine players returned from last year's squad, highlighted by co-captains: Hankel, Pesce, and senior defender Brady Dubay (Altamont, NY/CBA)…Hankel registered program single-season records of 242 saves, 14.24 per-game, and a 53.5 save percentage in 2025…He closed his rookie season leading the Empire 8 Conference in both saves and saves per-game…Hankel passed Michael Capitelli '22 for first place on the program's career saves list at No. 11 Saint John Fisher on March 28…The sophomore, now with 467 career stops, sits atop the Empire 8 Conference in save per-game…He ranked fourth with a .542 save percentage and third with 225 saves...Hankel tallied 15 or more saves in 10 of the 12 contests this spring...He registered 20+ stops on five occasions...Diba finished the afternoon with 103 career points on 57 goals and 46 assists...He ranks seventh in program career records for points, tied for sixth in goals, and third in assists…Jake McElwee registered 57 goals and 50 assists between 2021 and 2025…Anthony Abreu '23 totaled 106 career points...On April 18 at SUNY Brockport, Diba became the eight Gator to reach the 50 career goals mark...He tallied career point number 100 vs. SUNY Poly on April 22.
