ALFRED, N.Y. – Host Alfred got out to an 11-0 halftime lead to down Russell Sage College Men's Lacrosse 21-4 on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Mame Diba (New York, NY/Haldane) registered a goal and an assist to pace the Gator offense. The attacker currently ranks eighth in program career records for points and goals.
Sophomore Jordon Hankel (Cold Spring, NY/Haldane) (Loss, 1-2) made 22 saves, before switching into a role as a field player and scoring a late goal. The save total was the second-most in a game by a Gator.
Sophomore midfielder Carson Pesce (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), and sophomore midfielder Doan Sangare (New York, NY/Frederick Douglass Academy) also netted goals for the Gators in their Empire 8 Conference opener.
Alfred (5-3/1-0 E8) got multiple points from seven players in the home victory.
RSC (1-2/0-1 E8) is back in action on Saturday at Saint John Fisher, currently ranked 12th in the latest USILA national poll.
