RSC Men's Lacrosse Edged in Overtime on Senior Day
ALBANY, N.Y. – SUNY Poly junior midfielder Ryan Carroll scored the game-winning goal with three seconds left in overtime to put the visiting Wildcats past Russell Sage College Men's Lacrosse 11-10 on Senior Day.

Senior attacker Mame Diba (New York, NY/Haldane), one of the five RSC student-student-athletes that were recognized before the contest, led all players with six points on five goals and an assist. With the output, Diba became just the seventh RSC Men's Lacrosse player to reach 100 career points. The senior heads into Saturday's season finale vs. Nazareth with 101 career points on 55 goals and 46 assists. Looking at the program career record book, he ranks seventh in scoring, seventh in goals and third in assists. Jake McElwee tallied 57 career goals and 50 career assists between 2021 and 2025.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jordon Hankel (Cold Spring, NY/Haldane) (3-8), the Empire 8 Conference leader in saves per-game, turned away 19 Wildcat shots, while sophomore midfielder Doan Sangare (New York, NY/Frederick Douglass Academy) added a pair of goals and four caused turnovers.

Senior Day: Before the contest, Russell Sage College Athletics recognized five student-athletes, Blake, Koulibaly, defender Brady Dubay (Altamont, NY/CBA), midfielder/goalkeeper Andrew Collora (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon), and Diba for their contributions to the men's lacrosse program.
Gator Bites with Papa John’s: The spring marks the second with Erich Skelly at the helm of Russell Sage College Men’s Lacrosse…Nine players return from last year’s squad, highlighted by co-captains: Dubay, Hankel, and sophomore midfielder Carson Pesce (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury)…Hankel registered program single-season records of 242 saves, 14.24 per-game, and a 53.5 save percentage in 2025…He closed his rookie season leading the Empire 8 Conference in both saves and saves per-game…Hankel passed Michael Capitelli ’22 for first place on the program’s career saves list at No. 11 Saint John Fisher on March 28…The sophomore, who began the week with 424 career stops, sits atop the Empire 8 Conference in save per-game…On April 18 at SUNY Brockport, Diba became the eighth Gator to reach the 50 career goals mark...He became the seventh RSC Men's Lacrosse player to tally 100 career points on April 22 vs. SUNY Poly.
