Trio From RSC Men's Lacrosse Make the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team.
ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Men's Lacrosse had three student-athletes: sophomore midfielder Carson Pesce (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), senior defender Brady Dubay (Altamont, NY/CBA), and sophomore attacker Mason Marckres (Essex Junction, VT/Essex), make the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Lacrosse Team.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Lacrosse Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. The quartet now advance to the to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 8.
Gator Bites with Papa John's: 2026 marked the second with Erich Skelly at the helm of Russell Sage College Men's Lacrosse…Nine players returned from last year's squad, highlighted by co-captains: Dubay, Pesce, and sophomore goalkeeper Jordon Hankel (Cold Spring, NY/Haldane)…Hankel registered program single-season records of 242 saves, 14.24 per-game, and a 53.5 save percentage in 2025…He closed his rookie season leading the Empire 8 Conference in both saves and saves per-game…Hankel passed Michael Capitelli '22 for first place on the program's career saves list at No. 11 Saint John Fisher on March 28…The sophomore, who has 467 career stops, atop the Empire 8 Conference in save per-game…Senior attacker Mame Diba (New York, NY/Haldane) concluded the season seventh in program career records with 103 career points on 57 goals and 46 assists. He is tied for sixth among Gators in career goals (Jake McElwee, 2021-2025) and sits third in program records with 46 career assists.
