Pesce Represents RSC Men's Lacrosse on the E8 Tomorrow's Leaders Team
ALBANY, N.Y. – Sophomore midfielder Carson Pesce (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) represents Russell Sage College Men’s Lacrosse on the 2026 Empire 8 Conference Tomorrow’s Leaders Team.
The co-captain ranked second on the Gators with 20 points and 11 goals. Pesce, who dished out a team-high nine assists, registered 16 groundballs and three caused turnovers.
Each of the ten E8 institutions has one representative on the squad. This team honors a student-athlete who has emerged as a leader not only on the field of play, but in the classroom and in the community. In addition, they "compete with honor and integrity" and have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen.
RSC went 3-9, 1-8 in the E8, this spring.
Gator Bites with Papa John's: 2026 marked the second with Erich Skelly at the helm of Russell Sage College Men's Lacrosse…Nine players returned from last year's squad, highlighted by co-captains: senior defender Brady Dubay (Altamont, NY/CBA), Pesce, and sophomore goalkeeper Jordon Hankel (Cold Spring, NY/Haldane)…Hankel registered program single-season records of 242 saves, 14.24 per-game, and a 53.5 save percentage in 2025…He closed his rookie season leading the Empire 8 Conference in both saves and saves per-game…Hankel passed Michael Capitelli '22 for first place on the program's career saves list at No. 11 Saint John Fisher on March 28…The sophomore, who has 467 career stops, atop the Empire 8 Conference in save per-game…Senior attacker Mame Diba (New York, NY/Haldane) concluded the season seventh in program career records with 103 career points on 57 goals and 46 assists. He is tied for sixth among Gators in career goals (Jake McElwee, 2021-2025) and sits third in program records with 46 career assists.
