RSC Baseball Compiles 29 Hits to Sweep Doubleheader Against Keuka, Secures Program's 100th Victory
Russell Sage College baseball, who got votes in the ABCA poll for the first time in program history this week extended its winning streak to twelve games on Saturday, defeating Keuka twice in a doubleheader, by scores of 11-0 and 12-1.

The Gators (18-3/7-0 E8) used 29 hits across the two contests to pick up their sixth and seventh Empire 8 Conference victories of the season. The 11-0 win in the opener secured the 100th victory in RSC baseball history.
Gator bats continued to shine, as six hitters tallied three or more hits in the twin bill.
Senior Anthony Rizzo (Latham, NY/Shaker/HVCC), popped his second home run of the season in his five hit, four run day. Senior Joseph Karpierz (Latham, NY/Shaker/Xavier) also had five hits, as he improved his batting average to .481, good for the top mark in the Empire 8 Conference.
Senior Evan Grimes (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) became just the seventh Gator to surpass the 100 hit mark in his career with a three-hit, two RBI performance across the pair of wins.
The highest runs batted in totals of the day came from senior Colin Casey (Marlboro, NY/Marlboro/Saint Rose) and sophomore Nick Chicaway (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes), who each drove in four in the game two victory over the Wolves. Chicaway tallied four base knocks on Saturday, while Casey scored five times.
Sophomore Mitch Neer (Newburgh, NY/Marlboro) continued what was the best week in his young collegiate baseball career, tallying four hits and driving in three runs as RSC improved to a conference best 18 victories.
Pitching was a strong suit for RSC on Saturday, as they struck out twelve Keuka batters while only surrendering one run, headlined by game one starter Aidan Green (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro/Onondaga CC), who punched out four and earned his third win on the season.
Russell Sage, who has scored in double-digits in eight straight contests, is back in action on Tuesday for a non-conference game against Union.
