The Gators (7-12/1-2 NEVC) received double-digit kills from three different players in the 25-23, 23-25, 25-23, 12-25, 10-15 setback.
Sophomore John Lindheimer (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) topped RSC, which tallied six aces and nine total blocks, with 16 kills on .244 hitting. The outside hitter elevated a dozen Wildcat attacks for his fourth double-double of the season.
Junior opposite Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) registered 15 kills, five digs, three total blocks, two assists and an ace, while junior outside hitter Sean Pingelski (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) recorded 12 kills on .241 hitting and nine digs.
Sophomore setter Anthony Guetti (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) contributed 42 assists, nine digs, three aces and two kills on .500 hitting, while senior middle hitter Marcus Gentile (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central) led all participants with six total blocks to go along with four kills.
Freshman outside hitter Quincy Stayton paced SUNY Poly (14-9/2-1 NEVC) with 18 kills on .359 hitting. The rookie was one of three Wildcats to reach the double-digit kill mark in the comeback victory.
The Gators visit Springfield, ranked second in the current AVCA national poll, on Tuesday.
