Gators Sweep Tri-Match Against Curry and Hartwick
Russell Sage College Men’s Volleyball hosted Curry and Hartwick for a tri-match on Saturday, and picked up a pair of wins.

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Men's Volleyball hosted Curry and Hartwick for a tri-match on Saturday, and picked up a pair of wins.
The Gators opened the day against the Colonels (12-12, 1-5 NEVC), and came out victorious 3-1 (25-19, 25-22, 18-25, 25-23) in the NEVC action.
Sophomore outside hitter John Lindheimer (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) headlined the attackers with 14 kills, while junior opposite Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) and senior outside hitter Sean Pingelski (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) each tallied eleven.
Pingelski contributed 14 digs, while sophomore setter Anthony Guetti (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) led all players with 45 assists.
Two Colonels had double-digit kills, as Niko Whitaker tallied 13 kills with a .647 hitting percentage, while Chris Milfort had eleven.
In the nightcap, the Gators defeated the Hawks of Hartwick (5-18) in three sets (25-21, 25-15, 28-26).
Pingelski added ten more kills in the victory, while junior outside hitter Spencer Cooper (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) and sophomore middle blocker Evan Devine (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) each tallied eight.
Guetti continued his strong passing campaign, assisting his teammates 34 times.
"Today's wins are a great step towards the NEVC tournament," shared Guetti after the wins. "I feel like all the wheels were turning together today and it was a great team effort."
The Gators (8-15, 2-3 NEVC) are back in action on Wednesday as they host Springfield for 'Section II Night'.
