SUNY Potsdam Rallies to Edge RSC Men's Volleyball 3-2 in the NEVC Quaterfinals

The fifth-seeded Gators, which fell by scores of 25-19, 19-25, 25-22, 15-25, 11-15, had five players register at least seven kills in the road setback.
Junior Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie Central), announced as a first-team All-NEVC performer earlier today, led the way with 17 kills on .233 hitting and 11 digs. The opposite concluded his spring fourth in program records with 907 career kills.
Sophomore outside hitter John Lindheimer III (Albany, NY/Colonie Central), tabbed second-team All-NEVC, added 12 kills on .139 hitting and six digs. He has 460 career kills, tenth-most all-time by a Gator.
Senior middle hitter Marcus Gentile (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central) contributed 10 kills on .333 hitting, with sophomore middle blocker Evan Devine (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa), the NEVC Player of the Week for the period ending Saturday, April 4, tallying eight kills on .500 hitting.
Sophomore setter Anthony Guetti (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) ran the RSC offense to the tune of 47 assists, to go along with four kills of his own. He finished his spring third in program records with 1825 career assists.
Junior outside hitter Sean Pingelski (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) rounded out the quintet with seven kills and five digs.
SUNY Potsdam (12-6), which will take on top-seeded Endicott in Saturday's Semifinals, hit .316 as a team in the comeback victory. The Bears aced seven serves while blocking six RSC attack attempts.
Senior outside hitter Duncan Tenhagen helped SUNY Potsdam, seeded fourth, advance by registering 24 kills on .465 hitting and nine digs.
The Gators (13-17) qualified for the NEVC Tournament for the third-straight year.
